Telangana Rain Forecast: Which Districts Face Intense Showers Next?
Telangana rainfall forecast shows heavy showers in Nizamabad, Mancherial, and Kumaram Bheem, while Hyderabad and southern districts may see light rain.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS) has issued rainfall projections for the next three days, highlighting intense activity in northern districts while southern regions may see lighter spells.
According to the 24-hour rainfall outlook valid till 8:30 am on Tuesday, heavy precipitation is likely across Kumaram Bheem, Mancherial, and parts of Nirmal. The northern belt including Adilabad, Jagitial, and Peddapalli is also expected to receive significant showers. Moderate rain has been forecast for Karimnagar, Rajanna-Sircilla, and surrounding areas. Districts in central and southern Telangana, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, and Nalgonda, are likely to witness scattered light to moderate rainfall.
Forecast for August 19–20
The 48-hour model suggests rainfall concentration shifting towards Nizamabad, Nirmal, and adjoining districts. Very heavy showers are indicated over Nizamabad and pockets of Kumaram Bheem. Adilabad and Mancherial could also record intense activity. Moderate rain is expected in Kamareddy, Jagtial, and Medak. The southern and eastern parts of Telangana, including Khammam, Suryapet, and Warangal, are projected to see light to moderate precipitation.
Forecast for August 20–21
Rainfall intensity is expected to weaken by mid-week. Most districts are likely to record light showers, with isolated moderate rainfall in Adilabad and Mulugu. Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, and Khammam may experience very light rainfall during this period.
